Musona to join Augsburg on loan
TSG 1899 Hoffenheim have agreed to let Zimbabwean forward Knowledge Musona join fellow Bundesliga side FC Augsburg on a season-long loan deal for the 2012/13 campaign. Musona, who has made ten appearances for his country, arrived in Sinsheim last summer from South African side Kaizer Chiefs and made 16 league appearances this season.
His one and only goal for Hoffenheim came in a German Cup match last October, when 1899 defeated 1. FC Köln 2-1 in the WIRSOL Rhein-Neckar-Arena. Manager Markus Babbel said of the deal, “We believe that it will be better for Knowledge's development if he plays in Augsburg next season. He needs match practice, and so a loan arrangement is the best solution for all parties involved.”
