La Manga Day 8: Adiós España

It's been a turbulent start to 2011 for 1899 Hoffenheim, but an intense training camp in Spain provided the team with the perfect combination of hard work and fun to take their mind off of everything. One thing is for certain – during their 8-day stay in Murcia, it was never boring!

On Monday the team said goodbye to sunny Spain ready to return to home to Germany. All that was left for the tired players to do was pack their bags, load up the bus and it was off to the airport ready for their flight home. The flight took off at just after half past three in the afternoon travelling from the Aeropuerto de Murcia-San Javier to Baden-Baden. Before getting on the flight, Matthis Jaissle, who recently signed a 4 year contract extension with the club, provided us with a brief look at the last 8 days: "Despite all the furore going on back home we didn't get distracted and instead worked hard as team during the training camp and have definitely become abetter team tactically over the past 8 days." Speaking about extending his contract, Jaissle added: "Thankfully my future has been cleared up before the second half of the season started. I'm looking forward to the years ahead that I will spend in Hoffenheim."
