Autograph signing: “The reception has been fantastic“

But in spite of the disappointment of the result, Hoffenheim players Gylfi Sigurdsson and Daniel Williams were greeted by an impressive number of fans for their autograph signing yesterday. “The reception our fans have given us today has been great”, said USA international midfielder Williams. Icelandic midfielder Sigurdsson was also quick to thank the fans for their support: “We have fantastic fans here. They always give us players a lift when things haven't gone as well as we might have hoped.”

The player signed shirts, posters and other memorabilia and the atmosphere helped put the frustration of the Freiburg game behind them. Now the club can look forward with optimism to Friday's game with Bayer 04 Leverkusen at the BayArena.
