Summer, sun, football: TSG sponsors' kickabout
On Tuesday (1 July), one of the hottest days of the year so far, six teams made up of partners and sponsors of TSG Hoffenheim and some of the TSG staff gathered in St. Leon-Rot. The teams were named after Hoffenheim players and competed for the sporting crown on two small pitches with teams of eight outfield players plus a goalkeeper.
In the end, the “Bebou” team came out on top. TSG managing director Tim Jost also took to the pitch. The former second-division handball player is equally adept with his feet, but in the end his team had to settle for fourth place. “It’s always good to get some exercise. But I’m a little dissatisfied with my own performance; unfortunately, we lost the match for third place. But when you’re out on the pitch, you get to interact with others and create your own experiences,” said Jost, emphasising the many positive aspects of the event. “It’s wonderful that, despite the high temperatures, we were able to welcome so many partners to the third TSG Sponsors’ Kickabout and that so many people took the time to come, some with their entire families,” said the TSG managing director, adding: “We are doing a good job of making TSG accessible, approachable and exciting again. That’s who we are, and that’s where we want to be.”
