DFB-Pokal: TSG to face Hansa Rostock

TSG Hoffenheim's opponents in their first competitive game of the season has been decided: in the first round of the DFB-Pokal (15–18 August), TSG will travel to third-tier side Hansa Rostock. Owen Ansah, who became the first German to run 100 metres in 9.99 seconds, made the draw. The sprinter from Hamburg was optimistic: "TSG can do it," he said with a smile.

The task is undoubtedly a tough one: Hansa Rostock play in the 3. Liga and qualified for the DFB-Pokal as winners of the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Landespokal. The historic club, who last played in the Bundesliga in 2008, play their home games in the Ostseestadion in front of up to 29,000 spectators. Rostock finished last season in fifth place in the third tier, fighting for promotion until the end of the season.
