TSG fight back to earn point in Wolfsburg
The line-up
Christian Ilzer made two changes to his starting XI compared to the 4-4 draw away to Borussia Mönchengladbach: Oliver Baumann and Kevin Akpoguma started in place of Luca Philipp and Stanley Nsoki.
The scenario
TSG went into the match in 15th place, with 31 points on the board. Wolfsburg were in 12th place with 39 points. After picking up the point in Wolfsburg, TSG (32 points) are now in 14th place in the table and six points clear of FC Heidenheim (26/16th place), who need to get three points away to Union Berlin on Saturday in order to have a mathematical chance of overtaking Hoffenheim on the final day.
Number of the game: 18
VfL Wolfsburg opened the scoring with only 18 seconds on the clock. Marius Bülter lost the ball directly from kick-off, Mohamed Amoura passed it into the centre and Leo Østigård turned it into his own net.
Moment of the match
The fourth minute of stoppage time: the Wolves sensed a winner was on the cards and piled on the pressure in added time. First Oliver Baumann made a save, then Konstantinos Koulierakis was denied by the post. A great stroke of luck for Hoffenheim.
Outlook
In the final round of the season, TSG Hoffenheim will play host to FC Bayern Munich at 15:30 CEST next Saturday.

Match highlights
Very early opening goal for Wolfsburg
Bülter loses the ball during build-up play. Wolfsburg then move very quickly. Amoura passes into the middle and Østigård turns the ball into his own net.

Almost the equaliser
Touré is afforded too much space and pulls the trigger. His shot takes a deflection and Grabara steers the ball around the post.
Lovely attacking move falls short
Kramarić wins back the ball on the edge of his own box, then asserts himself and feeds Hložek. The Czech also embarks upon a strong dribbling run and then wants to lay it off to Touré in the box, but Grabara intervenes.
Dream goal levels it at 1-1
The deserved equaliser: Stach heads the ball forward into a dangerous area. Bülter claws it back from the byline on the left and crosses towards the back post. Kadeřábek takes the cross on the volley and fires superbly into the corner.

Triple chance for TSG
Hoffenheim have a triple chance following a counter-attack. Touré is first denied in a one-on-one in the penalty area. Then Stach's effort is blocked and finally Bischof fires only very narrowly wide of the mark from range.
Stach blocked
It should now actually be 2-1 in TSG's favour: Stark shows strong persistence, does everything right and runs towards goal. But then he opts for the wrong corner and is blocked by Vavro.
Bülter fires over
The next major opportunity: the ball bounces through the penalty box following a cross but Bülter fires over on the turn.
Wind shocks TSG
Late shock for TSG: Wind rises the highest following a corner and heads into the corner.
Bülter with the perfect response
TSG strike back again. The cross from the right falls to the unmarked Bülter, who fires the ball left-footed into the net off the upright.

TSG get lucky
The Wolves sense a winner is on the cards and pile the pressure on in stoppage time. First Baumann saves, then Koulierakis hits the upright. A big stroke of luck for Hoffenheim.
