Kramarić: "We must be more intelligent and courageous"

Here's what the players and coaches said about TSG Hoffenheim's 1-1 draw with 1. FC Köln.

Grischa Prömel: "The fans are dissatisfied with the phase we're currently in. But so are we. Next week, we will need to tackle the game against Union together to get the three points. We will need every man at the stadium for that. Köln were not easy to play against, they give little away. We tried a lot. It also speaks volumes about the morale of the team that we scored the equaliser in stoppage time. We threw everything forward, tried by hook or by crook and at least came away with a point."

Andrej Kramarić: "We're not satisfied with the match. We have all the means to play better football. I could say the same things that Thomas Müller said after the Bayern match yesterday. We have so much quality on the pitch but do not show it in our games, especially on the ball. It makes me angry that we could play better. We need to be more intelligent and more courageous. Today I actually had the feeling that we could finally keep a clean sheet again, but we need to improve in that respect too."

Oliver Baumann: "We're not taking our chances. That's why we're disappointed. Nonetheless, it was a step forward, we had many chances, we got everything clear in defence. We mustn't talk it down. Our exchange with the fans was like a year ago  about the fact we must stick together. We battled, but it's always these details. We need to invest more to turn the tide and get back into our flow."

Pellegrino Matarazzo: "We saw a game that was very low on chances. Both teams placed a lot of importance on disciplined defending. Defensively, we definitely took a step forward. We conceded the goal for 1-0 almost out of nothing. We had several chances which we could have used to take the lead. The team showed spirit at the end. But it's a fact that our aspiration is to win a home game against Köln. It is also our aspiration to create more chances. We're not burying our heads in the sand; we'll go again next week against Union Berlin and we'll work on getting three points then."

Timo Schultz (1. FC Köln coach): "We're taking a point back home to Cologne. Even if the conceded goal makes it feel otherwise, we still have one more point on the board. The draw is fair, because we also didn't manage to make better use of our opportunities. We would've liked to take the three points and were close to doing so."
