TSG nominated for the German Sustainability Prize
TSG Hoffenheim have been nominated for the German Sustainability Prize in several regards. Together with our partner PreZero, TSG have been working towards the vision of a Zero Waste Stadium for many years. In April 2023, the PreZero Arena finally became the first European stadium to be certified by TÜV Süd for its operational waste and recyclable materials management (in accordance with DIN SPEC 91436). 87% of waste is reused, recycled or composted, which resulted in the award of a bronze certificate. A recycling rate of 90% must be achieved for silver status, while 95% is required for gold.
Thanks to their future strategy "TSG is movement" and their various projects and developments, TSG Hoffenheim are also among the nominees in the category of "Clubs and associations".
The renowned German Sustainability Award has been honouring pioneers in the categories of companies, architecture and start-ups since 2008, and is now doing so in the field of sport for the first time too. TSG are very proud to be among the nominees and are looking ahead to the awards ceremony in Düsseldorf on 24 November with excitement and anticipation.
