Brekalo: "Hoffenheim are difficult to beat"

Though still only 22, Josip Brekalo has already made almost 100 Bundesliga appearances for VfL Wolfsburg. In the run-up to the game on Sunday (15:30 CET), the Croat gave an interview to tsg-hoffenheim.de about the Wolves' start to the season and their previous meetings with TSG.

You're still unbeaten in the Bundesliga after six rounds of matches but you've only been able to win on one occasion. What are the reasons for all the draws?

"We've been solid defensively but going forward we've taken some time to settle into our rhythm. We've worked on that over the past few weeks and improved."

How satisfied are you generally with your start to the season?

"We're still unbeaten; that's a good record. However, we've also got only one win under our belts. We're working hard and we want to keep improving. Now our objective is to reward ourselves for our hard work over the last few weeks by picking up points."

You're unbeaten in four matches against TSG. What's proven to be the difference in the recent past?

"We've got two draws from the past two meetings at home but we've won both times away. They were close games, but we've always shown the will to win and been rewarded in the end. Now we want to get a win in our own stadium."

Only one point separates the two teams in the table. What kind of game are you expecting on Sunday?

"I'm expecting a tight match. Hoffenheim are a good team that is difficult to beat. But we'll do our best to keep the points in Wolfsburg."
