Grillitsch: "We're just happy to have gotten through"

Here's what the players and coaches had to say after the penalty shootout victory at Chemnitzer FC.

Oliver Baumann: "After 120 minutes like that, a penalty shootout is all about having the right focus. You can't train saving penalties. Our performance wasn't so bad, but we did not see our attacks through properly. Plus, the Chemnitz goalkeeper Jakubov made a few good saves too. Then the game turned, as is often the case, and the opposition had the advantage. We then gave it absolutely everything and turned it around with our great mentality."

Florian Grillitsch: "We certainly have a lot to analyse. It wasn't easy for us today. We had to go through extra-time and penalties, but we're just happy to have gotten through."

Christoph Baumgartner: "This was further confirmation that the cup has its own laws. The spectators made a real lot of noise. We're obviously happy that we managed to get through. Chemnitz performed well, but we weren't really in the game. We created too few chances for ourselves and the ones that we did have we were not able to use. For Chemnitz, it was the game of the year. But it's also a quality that we got ourselves through in the end."

Sebastian Hoeness: "We conceded the equaliser at 1-1 out of nothing. That set us back and that generated momentum. But then we pulled ourselves together. After going behind, it was unbelievably difficult. It doesn't matter any more who is playing against whom. We wanted to show the mentality to get back into the match. I must pay my team a compliment for that. It was all up for grabs in the shootout, as had been the case throughout the game. We had envisaged today differently, because we have higher expectations. We now need to draw energy from this spirit."

Daniel Berlinski (Chemnitzer FC coach): "I'm extremely proud of my team. Unfortunately, we were a bit heavy-legged by the end."
