Brenet has not yet made a Bundesliga appearance for Hoffenheim this term. Last season he featured 14 times in the top flight, as well as making two appearances in the Champions League and the DFB Cup respectively. Prior to his transfer to TSG, the full-back played for PSV Eindhoven, where he won two Dutch titles, two Dutch Super Cups and was given his first senior call-up by the Netherlands (two appearances).
