Adams provides assist at Africa Cup of Nations

Kasim Adams got his Africa Cup of Nations campaign underway with a draw on Tuesday evening. The TSG star's Ghana side shared the spoils with Benin in a match that finished 2-2. It was Adams who provided the assist for his side's second goal of the match, scored by Jordan Ayew in the 42nd minute, which gave the Black Stars a temporary 2-1 lead. Next on the agenda for Ghana is their upcoming encounter with Cameroon, which will take place on Saturday at 19:00 CET. Cameroon made a successful start to the tournament by beating Guinea-Bissau 2-0 in their opening match. The Africa Cup of Nations is taking place in Egypt from 21 June to 19 July.

"kicker" names Belfodil in "international class"

High praise for Hoffenheim's Ishak Belfodil, who features in eighth place in "kicker" magazine's "German Football Ranking List" for the position of striker and makes the "international class" category. No players made it into the "world-class" category. "kicker" named Bayern Munich's Robert Lewandowski in top spot, followed by former TSG man Kevin Volland in second.

In total, eight TSG senior players made it into the "kicker" ranking list: Kevin Vogt, Pavel Kaderabek, Nico Schulz, Florian Grillitsch, Nadiem Amiri, Kerem Demirbay, Andrej Kramaric and Ishak Belfodil.
