Six matches undefeated after draw against Schalke

TSG Hoffenheim drew 1-1 (0-0) with FC Schalke 04 in their headline Bundesliga showdown. Andrej Kramaric scored from the spot for TSG after a penalty given for handball.

PERSONNEL AND TACTICS

Julian Nagelsmann made four changes to his starting line-up from the 3-2 defeat against Shakhtar Donetsk. Kasim Adams came back into the starting line-up and formed a three man defensive line alongside Kevin Vogt and Ermin Bicakcic. Oliver Baumann started in goal, with Steven Zuber and Pavel Kaderabek lining up out wide.

In midfield, Florian Grillitsch made his return to the starting line-up after his absence through injury. Kerem Demirbay and Andrej Kramaric occupied the attacking midfield positions. Joelinton slotted back in up front, forming a striking partnership with Ishak Belfodil.

Julian Nagelsmann adjusted his formation during the second half, switching to a 4-3-3. Bicakcic slotted in at left-back, Zuber went into midfield and Kramaric moved up front. 

Reiss Nelson entered the action in the 64th minute in place of goalscorer Kramaric. Schulz replaced Zuber on the left wing after 70 minutes, at which point TSG went back to a three man defence. Adam Szalaj came on to replace Belfodil with ten minutes left. 

MOMENT OF THE MATCH

In the 93th minute, Joelinton had a chance to win the match with a header, but Schalke goalkeeper Ralf Fährmann came to his team's rescue with a crucial save.

Andrej Kramaric scored his ninth consecutive penalty for TSG.
