Hamad joins Hammarby IF
An agreement has been reached for Jiloan Hamad to leave TSG Hoffenheim early and join Swedish first-division side Hammarby IF. The contract with the midfielder was due to expire on 30th June 2017.
Hamad signed for Hoffenheim in January 2014 from record Swedish champions Malmö FF. He was loaned out to Standard Liege in Belgium one year later, but returned to TSG after six months following a cruciate ligament tear. He made just 15 Bundesliga appearances for Hoffenheim (1 goal), also featuring in a DFB Cup game.
