Goal 25 – Süle one of best German footballers

Goal 25, which was chosen by more than 500 Goal journalists from around the world, have nominated a Hoffenheim man in the list of best German footballers: Niklas Süle.

These Goal football experts have carefully examined all German footballers for rankings and assessed them according to the following criteria: consistency last year, performances in big games, their legacy to football as well as success with club and country.

Süle has made 29 Bundesliga appearances for TSG Hoffenheim in 2016, won a silver medal at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro and also made his debut for the Germany national team under Joachim Löw. The centre-back recently told achtzehn99tv in an interview that he has had a very good year.

Christian Nier from Goal Deutschland values the Hoffenheim defender highly. “Süle, alongside Leverkusen’s Tah, is one of Germany’s upcoming players. TSG have a very good academy and have already produced some good young players over the last few years. Süle deserved to be called up to the Germany national team after his impressive performances at the Olympic Games. He fully deserves to be named one of Germany’s best players.”
