The first competitive match of the season comes against the Regionalliga side, who earned their spot in the competition by virtue of reaching the final of last term’s Lower Saxony Cup. They were promoted into the Regionalliga Nord at the end of the 2015/16 campaign.

Alexander Rosen, sporting director, commented: "We will conduct ourselves in a professional manner and treat it like a Bundesliga match. Obviously we will respect our opponents, but our aim is clearly to reach the next round."
