TSG win friendly in India - Experience more important
TSG won a friendly match 3-0 against a selection of players from the state of Mizoram during their tour of India. The goals for Markus Gisdol's side were scored by Anthony Modeste, Eugen Polanski and Jiloan Hamad in front of around 11,000 spectators in Aizawl. The match was broadcast on Indian television nationwide.
Markus Gisdol: “We gave a proper account of ourselves. It was very enjoyable for the players. Compliments to our opponents, who were very energetic and had some good chances, but the result is secondary. It was just great to experience the enthusiasm of the people here. This fantastic experience will stay in our memories for a long time.”
TSG are on the road in the subcontinent in collaboration with the German Football League (DFL) to represent the Bundesliga there. The club will also promote in four ongoing social projects in cooperation with our main sponsor SAP. As part of their trip, they will visit schools and clubs in Kolkata, Goa and Aizawl to carry out training sessions with children.
