TSG capture Brazilian defensive all-rounder Chris
The TSG Hoffenheim 1899 squad has been strengthened further with the signing of Brazilian, Chris, full name Christian Maicon Hening. The 33 year old, who has moved from VfL Wolfsburg, has signed a one-year contract with the club, and will move to the Kraichgau immediately.
“With his class, and his experience in both central defence and defensive midfield, Chris offers us different options. Our task now is to introduce him into the squad as soon as possible,” said the club manager Markus Babbel.
Born and raised in Brazil, Chris first came to Germany in 2003 and played for FC St. Pauli in the 2. Bundesliga. One year later he transferred to Eintracht Frankfurt where he stayed until his 2011 move to Wolfsburg. In total, Chris has 133 Bundesliga appearances with ten goals. He's also played in 12 DFB Cup matches, having scored twice.
