Striker Vedad Ibisevic will not be leaving Hoffenheim.

Speaking on Wednesday, TSG Hoffenheim 1899 Chairman Ernst Tanner admitted that there had been in Bosnian striker Ibisevic, but that no agreement could be reached. “There was some interest from Blackburn Rovers, and I did consider it. But now I can say to the fans that I feel at home here, I want to score more goals and get fit as soon as possible.” Ibisevic, currently sidelined with a thigh injury, has scored 48 goals in 124 appearances for Hoffenheim.

In other news, Josip Simunic has joined Croatian First Division side Dynamo Zagreb for an undisclosed fee. “He wanted to spend more time in his homeland. We know what we will be missing, but we are also convinced this is the best solution”, said Ernst Tanner. The 33-year-old from Croatian international made 43 Bundesliga appearances for Hoffenheim, scoring one goal.

Hoffenheim have also finalised the signing of versatile defender Daniel Williams from SC Freiburg on a three year contract. “He is young and versatile and he'll fit in very well with our style of play,” said Tanner. Williams also declared his happiness at making the move and is looking forward to the new challenge. He will receive the number 13 shirt.
