Compper ban increased to two games

TSG 1899 Hoffenheim defender Marvin Compper has had his ban increased to two games for his red card against 1. FC Nürnberg last Saturday.

The defender was shown a straight red card by referee Dr. Jochen Drees in the closing minutes of Hoffenheim's 2-0 win, after he was judged to have been the last man when he brought down striker Tomas Pekhart. He has now been given a two-match ban by the German Football Federation (DFB), a charge which Hoffenheim have decided not to contestant.

Compper will miss the final game before the winter break against Hertha Berlin this weekend, as well as the first game back after Christmas, a home fixture against Hannover 96.
