Beck retains 1899 captaincy
Current 1899 Hoffenheim captain Andreas Beck will retain the captaincy in the upcoming 2011/12 Bundesliga season. New head coach Holger Stanislawski announced the decision on Saturday.
“Andi played very well last season. He also acts as the middle man between the coaching staff and the squad, which is a key role that he plays very well”, explained Stanislawski. Beck himself is also happy to hear that he will be continuing in the role he's had since the 2010/11 season. “Of course it's an absolute honour to continue wearing the captain's armband. Decisions like this often serve as a great additional source of motivation.
