Internationals: 2 Hoffenheim players meet Germany

When the German national team meets Bosnia-Herzegovina on Thursday (03.06.2010, 20.30 live on ARD) in Frankfurt, Andreas Beck will not take part having not made the German World Cup squad. However, he does have two Hoffenheim teammates who will be playing in the match.

In the international friendly taking place in the Commerzbank-Arena, two players will represent Hoffenheim: striker Vedad Ibisevic and midfielder Sejad Salihovic, both of who have had to delay their holidays. "It doesn't matter, just to be able to play against the Germany team is good", stated Ibisevic. "Against an opponent like Germany, we can gauage where we are as a team." Ibisevic's teammate at club and international level, Salihovic was quoted before the meeting as saying: Every international match is special. We want to win against every opponent, especially Germany who are so close to the World Cup now."

Ghana lose friendly match
In other news, Isaac Vorsah and Prince Tagoe represented Ghana on Tuesday in their penultimate match before the World Cup starts. Unfortunately Milovan Rajevac's team lost againt Holland, another team in the World Cup - 1:4. On Saturday (05.06) they are set to meet Latvia as they make their final preparations before they travel to South Africa. It is there that Ghana will meet Germany in group D on 23rd June in Johannesburg.
