TSG have carried out the project in honour of Peter Hofmann's memory together with the Zuzenhausen-based company Becker. The ornamental plant is now displayed at the entrance to the TSG clubhouse (formerly the FairPlay restaurant).

Margarete, Peter Hofmann's wife, and his son Marco Hofmann also took part in the photoshoot for the presentation of the oak tree, which symbolises power, strength and stability in mythology and provides a habitat for more than 500 insects when old. They had accepted an invitation extended by the First Chairman of TSG Hoffenheim, Jörg Albrecht.

"Peter Hofmann's impact can still be felt today. He made a unique contribution to TSG Hoffenheim and the sporting region. By planting a sessile oak tree, a highly symbolic plant, we would like to honour the many years of service by our former Chairman in a long-term manner," emphasised Jörg Albrecht.
