The preparation for the second half of the season has been much longer than usual this season. How did you reflect on the last two months?
"Such a long break in the winter was unusual, of course. But we've made good use of it as a team. For regeneration and recovery on the one hand and to have a long and good period of preparation on the other hand."
Now it's finally starting up again. What are your expectations heading into the second half-season?
"After such a long break, it's always difficult to predict where you stand as a team. We want to build on what made us strong at the start of the season. The end of the first half-season did not go the way we'd envisaged it. We want to pick up more points, but to do so there are certain things we need to do better. We must not give away any goals and we must convert our chances better. If we do, I am confident that we can also pick up more points again."
You're up against Union Berlin to begin with. What do you need to be ready for?
"The matches at the Alte Försterei are always special. We're going up against a really good opponent, but we of course we want to come away from Berlin with something. We're looking forward to the game. It's always very combative against Union; we must hold our own and show our footballing quality on the pitch."
