Prömel: ''The team will grow from games like this''

Here's what the players and coaches had to say after the 2-0 extra-time win away to SV Rödinghausen in the First Round of the DFB-Pokal.

Grischa Prömel: ''We knew it would be a difficult game, which is what the DFB-Pokal is all about. Rödinghausen did well, they were very aggressive in the tackles. In the cup, the most important thing is to advance, and that's what we did. The will grow from games like this.''

André Breitenreiter: "That was the tough cup tie we expected. SV Rödinghausen made it very difficult for us. You have to give it to them. They defended strongly and could have taken the lead in the first half. We then applied more pressure over time and waited patiently for our moments. In the end, we made it through and are very happy about it. But it was hard work. It was a fantastic debut for Ozan."

Carsten Rump (SV Rödinghause coach): "I feel a mixture of pride and disappointment. When you keep a clean sheet for 115 minutes against a Bundesliga team, you hope that you will at least make it to a penalty shootout. At the end of the day, Hoffenheim are the deserved winners, but I'm still proud of my team, the boys gave everything against a top opponent. It was a great afternoon for us, it was fun to put ourselves to the test in the way we did.''
