Rudy: ''We're not giving up"

Here's what the players and coaches had to say after TSG Hoffenheim's 2-2 draw away to Eintracht Frankfurt.

Oliver Baumann: ''You could see that both teams wanted to win. We took a step forward compared to the past few weeks. But that has to become the baseline, it has to be standard for us to show so much commitment and intensity. I hope that we press on from this and I'm very happy that we managed to draw. Even though Andrej had a chance to grab the winning goal. That makes it hard to accept that we didn't win. But the tackling, the chance creation, the defence - everything was better today. Even though the performance was solid, it wasn't quite enough to get the win. We weren't mature enough. Both offensively and defensively, we didn't always play the situations right. If we get another win, we'll gladly start talking about Europe again going into the final matchday. Our mentality is still there, we believe in ourselves. Now next week we have to show that we can continue this development.''

Sebastian Rudy: ''We had more chances to win the game overall. In the end, Kevin Trapp made a very good save to deny Andrej. But unfortunately, you have to put away chances like that to get three points from a team like this. We want to stay at the top of the table, we're working hard and doing all we can to achieve this. I think you can see that in every game, but we're just lacking a little bit to get wins and keep ourselves up there. We are still gunning for Europe. Anything is possible in football and we will give it our best shot. In football, everything is possible and we are not giving up. But it's going to be really difficult."

Munas Dabbur: "We have to keep fighting and do better next week. We had a lot of good chances today, but we didn't find the back of the net with enough of them. We' re not in an easy situation at the moment. We fought until the last moment and gave everything. Unfortunately, Kevin Trapp prevented Andrej from scoring the late winner. Nevertheless, we showed a lot of heart by coming back from 2-1 down."

Sebastian Hoeness: ''It was a good game. We started well and were able to work our way around Frankfurter's intense press. After taking the lead, we even had another chance through Munas Dabbur, but unfortunately Kevin Trapp made a very good save. The first half then took a turn for the worse. We fail to keep hold of the ball, concede a corner and then they equalise. After that, the game was open in the second half. I think we had the better chances. But Frankfurt were also dangerous. Their second goal was really hard to take, because we actually had a chance to counter-attack. But we didn't give up and got a deserved equaliser to make it 2-2. We were unlucky not to snatch a winner in the final stages. The result is not good enough for us, but we've rolled with the punches and won't give up.''

Oliver Glasner (Eintracht Frankfurt coach): ''2-2 is a fair result. Both teams had strong goalkeepers and both teams had chances to win. I am satisfied with my team's performance. We wanted to show that we're not slacking up in the Bundesliga, the are still giving it their all. We were a bit too passive after taking the lead. That's why Hoffenheim got their deserved equaliser.''
