Höler: "We'll keep pushing"

What do the opposition have to say before the game? In the run-up to the Baden derby against SC Freiburg (Saturday at 18:30 CET / Live Ticker at tsg-hoffenheim.de), we chatted to Freiburg forward Lucas Höler. In the interview, the 27-year-old spoke about Freiburg's objectives, the game on Saturday and Hoffenheim's form.

You've had an unbelievably strong season and are in fifth place with three matches remaining. What is your goal in the Bundesliga?

"When you're in fifth place with three rounds of games to go, you naturally want to defend that position. And naturally we'll keep pushing."

You came from behind to overhaul a 2-0 deficit against Borussia Mönchengladbach but conceded an equaliser towards the end. What were your feelings following that match?

"After the game, we were disappointed because we were pegged back to 3-3 in stoppage time. But after having slept on it overnight, we were proud that we managed to come back from 2-0 down against Borussia Mönchengladbach."

On Saturday you're away to TSG Hoffenheim, who have not won in the last six matches. What kind of game are you expecting?

"I'm expecting a very difficult match. It might be Hoffenheim's last chance to have a shot at the international berths. They will therefore definitely want to win the game at home – but we want to stop that from happening."

What will you need to especially wary of on Saturday?

"We need to take particular care that we don't embolden Hoffenheim. They have not won in six matches and we should not help out them by making unnecessary mistakes."
