Kramarić: "It could have finished 5-5"

Here's what the players and coaches had to say about the 1-1 draw with FC Bayern Munich.

Oliver Baumann: "We played extremely courageously, there were chances on both sides, the draw is deserved. There was a lot for me to do, but it was really fun. It's great we were able to offer the spectators something like that. It's nice to see the ground full again after such a long time, that's what we play for and that's what the sport lives for."

Andrej Kramarić: "It was a very intense game. It could have finished 5-5. I could've scored a few goals, but Bayern also had a number of chances. We showed in this game that we play courageously and impose the Hoffenheim way of playing football. We shall continue in this vein. We played against one of the best teams in the world, so we can be happy with a draw. I think the fans enjoyed the game."

…on his contract extension: "Hoffenheim means everything to me. I am extremely happy here, the club has given me so much, I love this club. I'd like to thank all the staff, the team, the fans, the sporting director Alex Rosen and Dietmar Hopp too. I've been here for more than six years, the club has become my second home."

Christoph Baumgartner: "That was a high-quality game between two good teams. It was attacking from both sides, there could have been many more goals for both sides, but in the end we are very happy to draw 1-1. Of course it's frustrating that we didn't take our chances, but on the other hand Bayern missed chances where they would normally score. We saw today what a great team we have and what great spirit we have in the team: everyone fights for each other. It was a good day for TSG Hoffenheim also because of Andrej's contract extension, which is perhaps the best news of the day for the club."

David Raum: "For the neutrals, it was a very good game today. We told ourselves: we are brave, we are Hoffenheim, we are at home. That's the way we wanted to approach it against Bayern and we managed to do that for many phases of the game."

Sebastian Hoeness: "We obviously had a great chance at the beginning through Andrej Kramarić, but after that we didn't hold on to the ball enough. After that, the game went the way we'd planned. We also had a few good chances before making it 1-0. The goal for 1-1 annoyed me because we should've defended better beforehand. We were lucky that Bayern didn't score after the break. But we remained a threat and almost won. The lucky punch didn't come, however. We showed all our courage today and gave the crowd a spectacle."

Julian Nagelsmann (FC Bayern Munich coach): "It was a very interesting game. I was very happy with the first 20 minutes, in which we missed the chance to take the lead. After that, the game became a bit more open. We unfortunately lost our structure when we fell behind, but fortunately we got the equaliser before the break. We changed things up a bit at half time, which worked great. Unfortunately, we didn't turn the game in our favour. Both teams wanted to win, you could see that. In my eyes, we were maybe a bit closer to winning, but the draw is not totally undeserved."
