Richards: "An unforgettable feeling"

Here's what the players and coaches said after Hoffenheim's dramatic 2-1 win away to SC Freiburg.

Oliver Baumann: "It was an extremely intense match on a difficult pitch. That didn't make it any easier, but both teams adjusted to it well. I'm just happy that we won. It's an unbelievable story given the way the game went and the many chances on both sides. A draw would've been fair, but we're happy with the outcome. That's why we're not getting carried away now. Humility is the best companion, the tasks ahead don't get any easier from here. Personally, I'm very satisfied with my performance. I spent a long time looking at Vincenzo Grifo before the penalty. Then I had an idea and I got a bit of luck, but it's also ability as you need good timing. I'm obviously also very satisfied with my record of saving three of the last six penalty kicks. And it helps that everyone is hungry for goals going forward."

David Raum: "It's a wonderful feeling, these are the moments you play football for: for last-minute victories and games that unfold like this. A 3-0 win is good, but obviously a game like this is crazy. It strengthens our resolve and gives us self-belief. It's also nice to be on the winning side of a game like this. We knew that Freiburg would play a lot of long balls and that it would be a combative match. In my eyes, the victory was deserved in the end. Chris and I both scored our first Bundesliga goals today. We can celebrate that together. For my goal, I thought to myself that I should run a few more metres and simply shoot. It's obviously nice to then see it go in. It was a fantastic feeling."

Chris Richards: "Shortly after the game I received many messages from friends and my family to congratulate me on my first goal and the victory. It was a really good feeling to score the goal for 2-1. Scoring the winner in stoppage time in such an important match makes my first goal all the more important. We're in really good form and the fact that I was able to seal the win was an unforgettable feeling. Oli Baumann made the win possible for us by saving the penalty, we're very grateful to him. We train very hard and have now won four matches on the bounce. We feel good and are especially delighted to get another three points. We feel like brothers and give everything for each other on the pitch; you can see that and that sets us apart."

Sebastian Hoeness: "It was the intense match we expected. We started it well and took an immediate lead. Shortly before the equaliser, we unfortunately went down a man because Chris Richards was receiving treatment off the pitch. Freiburg then showed their strength from set-pieces. For us, the goal we conceded came out of nothing. It was a battle of attrition in the second half. We didn't defend well prior to the penalty. Oli then kept us in the game and that kick-started our best spell. It continued to be highly intense and we got the lucky punch in the final seconds. It's a fantastic victory for us. We're happy."

Christian Streich: "In my eyes, it was a very even match. Both teams had their moments. In the run-up to the corner that led to Hoffenheim's goal for 2-1, Lucas Höler is clearly pulled down. It was a very intense game. We're satisfied with our showings but we're not taking enough points. We can't lose tight games like that. We have to take a good look at ourselves for that."
