Kevin Vogt: "Our confidence is growing with every win"

Here's what the players and coaches had to say after Hoffenheim's 3-2 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt in the heavy rain.

Kevin Vogt: "In the first half, we could have stretched our lead even further. Rutter had a great chance, but Ndicka sensationally cleared it off the line. But other than that, the boys up front did a great job. In the end, we performed well for the full 90 minutes. We're playing brave football right now. Our confidence is growing with every win – it's no secret. If you show courage on the pitch, you will be rewarded in the end."

Dennis Geiger: "The fact that we are so strong at home right now has a lot to do with confidence. We are on a good run here and knew before the match that it was a really important game for us. That's why we are overjoyed that we won. When the league is so tight, you have to look from game to game. That's what we're doing, but we're on good form and we want to keep it going. For the goal, I hit the ball perfectly, but you always need a bit of luck as well. Now we want to build on that against Freiburg. We're on cloud nine at the moment, and want to stay there. With each victory, our confidence is growing."

Diadie Samassékou: "It feels very good to beat Frankfurt at home. I had never won against them before. We like the feeling of winning games and didn't want to give that up. We haven't been doing as well in the table as we are now for two years, and we have been working to get back up towards the top of the table for a long time. Now we have to keep working hard – that is the most important thing. Because we need more wins to stay towards the top. Today, we have seen once again what we can achieve this year if we work as a team. It is nice that I am scoring so many goals at the moment, but the most important thing is that we win."

Sebastian Hoeness: "I think we started the game well – except for one or two set piece situations for Frankfurt. We started off well in the early stages of the game. Then their goal was a wake-up call to be more purposeful. We had not had any clear chances at that point and then took the lead quite quickly. Up to half-time, it was a good game from us. After the half-time break, Eintracht came out of the gates very fast. We had to fight through it with a spirit that was clear for all to see and hear. That is hugely important at a time when no fans are allowed inside the stadium. After we made it 3-1, we were on the verge of scoring the next goal. Then Frankfurt pulled one back and for us it was all about getting the win. The rest of the game came down to mentality and will."

Oliver Glasner (Eintracht Frankfurt coach): "Congratulations to Sebastian Hoeness and TSG Hoffenheim for a deserved victory. We are all disappointed today. I don't think we should have lost, and we only have ourselves to blame. We started the match well and could have gone 2-0 or 3-0 up. After that, we didn't defend well – and I don't just mean the defenders, but the entire team. We lacked the tenacity to close them down and go into challenges. That's why we're going home empty-handed."
