Fan information for the game in Stuttgart

It's derby day on Saturday, as TSG Hoffenhem travel to VfB Stuttgart (15:30 CET). Ahead of the clash in Stuttgart, the Hoffenheim fan representatives have put together all the most important information to prepare you for the game.

Covid rules

  • Wearing a medical mouth/nose protection is compulsory from the moment you enter the stadium until you leave - the only exception is when you are sat at your allocated seat.
  • Children under the age of six are exempt from this rule. 
  • Proof of 3G status must be presented at the entrance, please have your ID card with you for this purpose. The test proof must be no more than 24 hours old at the start of the event (15:30 CET).
  • Please have all your documents ready to reduce waiting times.
  • Children up to and including the age of five are exempt from compulsory testing.
  • VfB Stuttgart accept proof of 3G status via the following apps:
  • -             Luca App
  • -             Corona Warn App
  • -             CovPass App
  • In absolutely exceptional cases, paper evidence can also be provided, but this will increase the time required for checks.
  • You must keep 1.5 metres of distance between yourself and other people at all times. The only exception to this rule is when you are sat at your allocated seat.
  • You may bring a disinfectant with a maximum capacity of 50ml into the stadium.
  • Food purchased in the stadium may only be consumed at your allocated seat. 
  • The universally recognised hygiene rules must be adhered to.

Transport and parking

A match ticket entitles the holder to travel on all VVS modes of transport from seven hours before the match until 5:00 am the following day.

By train:

  • From Stuttgart main station take the S-Bahn lines 1 (to Neckarpark Mercedes-Benz), 2 or 3 (to Bad Cannstatt station) and the U11 tram line (to Neckar Park Stadion).

Light rail:

  • Line U1 to Mercedesstraße or Wilhelmsplatz stop
  • Line U11 special line for major events to NeckarPark (stadium)
  • Line U13 to Wilhelmsplatz stop in Stuttgart Bad Cannstatt

Bus:

  • Line 56 to the NeckarPark (Stadion) stop

S-Bahn:

  • Line S1 directly to NeckarPark stop (Mercedes-Benz), from there approx. 5 minutes walk to the away section.
  • Line S2 to Bad Cannstatt station stop
  • Line S3 to Bad Cannstatt station stop
  • From Bad Cannstatt station, walk along Daimlerstrasse and Mercedesstrasse in the direction of the Mercedes-Benz Arena. Turn left at Benzstraße to the away block. Please note that taking the S-Bahn line 1 to the Neckarpark stop is the more practical route.

By car:

  • A8 from Munich, Augsburg, Ulm: Junction Wendlingen, in the direction of Esslingen/Stuttgart, turn off B10 in the direction of Esslingen/Stuttgart. Then take the B10 towards Bad Cannstatt.
  • A8 from Karlsruhe / A81 from Singen: Stuttgart motorway junction in the direction of Stuttgart-Zentrum, B14 in the direction of Bad Cannstatt.
  • A81 from Frankfurt, Heilbronn: Mundelsheim junction - L115 towards Großbottwar/Backnang - B14 towards Backnang/Schorndorf/ Schwäbisch Hall - B14 Benzstraße exit (just before the B10)
  • B14 from Aalen, Schwäbisch Gmünd, Waiblingen, Backnang: Head towards Stuttgart until the Bad Cannstatt exit. Signs with a stadium symbol will guide you from the motorways via the B10 or B14 directly to the Mercedes-Benz Arena.

Parking options:

  • Parking facilities for visiting fan buses are located in Benzstraße. From there you can directly access the away entrance.
  • The P7 multi-storey car park is available for cars. Parking spaces for wheelchair users and people with mobility issues are available in multi-storey car park P7. Enter Martin Schrenk Weg into navigation system.
  • The VfB volunteers will be available as contact persons at Benzstraße and in the away section. They can be recognised by their red uniforms with "Volunteer" written on them. They work in conjunction with the VfB Stuttgart away fan support team.    

Further information

  • The stadium will open 120 minutes prior to kick-off (13:30 CET). 
  • The ticket office will not be open on matchday.
  • The away section of the Mercedes-Benz Arena is located in blocks 61, 62, 63, 64 and 65 in the Untertürkheimer Kurve. Access is via a path from Benzstraße.
  • Cash payments can be made in the away section and there are also checkouts for contactless payments (EC, Google Pay, Apple Pay, etc.). Cashless payment is recommended.
  • Due to current hygiene concepts, there are no storage facilities for bags and backpacks in the away section. Please leave your bags and backpacks in your car or bus. The maximum size of bags and backpacks that can be taken into the stadium must not exceed Din A4 (297 x 210 x 150 mm, H x W x D).
  • VfB Stuttgart allow visiting fans to bring double flags (pole length up to a maximum of 2 metres), small flags (pole length up to a maximum of 1.5 metres) as well as swivel flags (pole length up to a maximum of 2 metres). The poles of these flags must be made of hollow PVC tubes. Large swivel flags with a telescopic pole of a maximum of 5 metres in length are also permitted. The carrying and mounting of fence flags is also permitted as long as space is available.
  • The maximum size for banners is 15x1.5 metres. These may only be made of fabric.
  • Texts must not be offensive, racist, xenophobic, (party)political, religious or criminally liable. In addition, no stairways, escape or rescue routes may be obstructed.
  • There is a blood alcohol content limit of 1.4 per mille in the Mercedes-Benz Arena. Random alcohol checks will be carried out. Admission will not be granted if the blood alcohol content exceeds 1.4 per mille.
