Bebou: "There was more in it for us"

Here's what the players, coaches and officials had to say after the 2-2 draw away to Borussia Dortmund.

Ihlas Bebou: "We were leading 2-1 and wanted to see the game through here. We unfortunately made a mistake towards the end, which led to us conceding the goal. It's done unfortunately; we need to look forward. It frustrates me that I didn't score a goal in the first half. But we showed spirit and took the lead in the second half. We'd been hoping for more; we felt there was more in it for us here. It's very frustrating for us."

Sebastian Rudy: "It's very annoying that an incident takes place at the end and leads to the 2-2. But we produced a very good performance; a victory would've really been something special. However, we won't allow ourselves to get rattled. We executed the coach's instructions and got stuck into the challenges well. In the end, the draw was a fortuitous result for Dortmund. The game leaves a bitter taste in our mouths because we could've won."

Florian Grillitsch: "Dortmund are still one of the best teams in the Bundesliga, but today it's definitely a case of two points dropped rather than one gained for us. We had two major opportunities in the first half where we could've scored a goal. We even had another chance to make it 3-2 at the end, so we've been rather unlucky."

Munas Dabbur: "It was a good performance from us; we would've been deserving of a win. But everybody knows that it's not always the team that deserves it that wins in football. We conceded the 2-2, but we can be satisfied with our performance. We showed character against a good opponent. We'll keep looking ahead and we hope we can get three points next week."

Alexander Rosen: "We produced a really good away performance and had enough chances to win the match. The situation in the run-up to the 2-2 was obviously very bitter for us. But we had kept playing on ourselves beforehand. We need to be cleverer about that and cannot reproach the opposition about it."

Sebastian Hoeness: "We saw a very intense and emotional match. There were a few situations that we needed to get through, especially in the opening stages, but we also showed our intentions. We wanted to get in behind the defence and create chances for ourselves through counter-pressing. After falling behind, we had even clearer opportunities in front of goal and scored the equaliser through Munas Dabbur. It was a similar story in the second period. Dortmund threw everything forward after we had taken the lead at 2-1, but I didn't see many chances. We even had a few more chances ourselves. The 2-2 is obviously very frustrating and bitter. The match was open after that. We even had a chance to get the victory. That says a lot about the team."

Edin Terzic: "We're not satisfied with the point. Hoffenheim even had a chance to win at the end. But we had a lot of space, particularly in the first half, which we did not use well enough. We had a lot of chances at the beginning of the second half too, but we were not effective enough. We've tried to change several things. That's a process and doesn't happen at the push of a button."
