Personnel and tactics:
Head coach Sebastian Hoeness made one change to the side that defeated 1. FC Cologne 3-2 last weekend, with Stefan Posch replacing Kasim Adams at the heart of defence. The Austrian formed a five-man defensive line alongside Kevin Akpoguma, Kevin Vogt, Ermin Bičakčić and Pavel Kadeřábek. Oliver Baumann started in goal. Dennis Geiger and Diadie Samassékou played as the two central midfielders, with attacking players Andrej Kramarić, Christoph Baumgartner and Munas Dabbur rounding out the starting XI.
Bičakčić pulled up injured shortly before Bayern scored to make it 2-1. Robert Skov came on for the man who scored the opening goal, slotting in at left-back. Kadeřábek shifted over to right-back and Akpoguma moved into central defence.
TSG made two changes around the hour mark. Hoeness opted for a bold, offensive substitution, with Mijat Gaćinović and Ihlas Bebou coming on to replace Geiger und Baumgartner. Florian Grillitsch came on for Dabbur with ten minutes remaining to help see out the result. Kramarić scored the all-important third goal from a counter-attack in the 77th minute. Bebou was brought down in the box by Manuel Neuer in injury time. Kramarić stepped up to convert the penalty and score his fifth goal of the season, making him the leading scorer in the Bundesliga.
Moment of the Match:
The goal to make it 3-1. Bayern were pressing hard for an equaliser, but in the end it was TSG who got the decisive goal that their courageous and extremely positive performance deserved. Munas Dabbur played the ball into the path of Ihlas Bebou. The striker got his head up and played a perfect ball into Kramarić in the middle. The Croatian took one touch before sending a delicate finish into the left-hand corner. It proved the crucial moment in what was an intense game of football.

A corner is whipped in from the left. Bičakčić gets his head on it and sends the ball towards the right-hand corner of the goal. Davies tries in vain to keep it from crossing the line. Hoffenheim take an early lead.
What's going on here? TSG press Bayern in midfield and force an error. Pavard plays the ball to the feet of Dabbur, who finds himself one-on-one with Neuer. The Israeli keeps his cools and sends a delicate chipped finish over the head of the Bayern keeper to make it 2-0.
A big chance to make it 3-0. Samassékou plays an inviting ball into the path of Baumgartner, who is swamped by desperate Bayern defenders before he can get a shot off.
Another chance for TSG! Kramarić dribbles his way into space in the box and fires a left-footed shot towards the right-hand corner. Neuer does well to stretch and make the save.
Ermin Bičakčić pulls up injured. Bayern play on. Kimmich receives the ball at the edge of the box and fires a curling effort straight into the top corner. 2-1.
TSG come close to making it 3-1. Kramarić waltzes through the Bayern defence, skips past Boateng, but Neuer is there to deflect the ball away off the upright.
Surely not! Dabbur misses two big chances to give TSG a two-goal cushion. First his shot from a central position is too close to Neuer, who makes an easy finish. The ball soon comes back to Dabbur, but he fires high and wide with the goal gaping. He will rue those two missed opportunities.
Out of nowhere comes a big chance to equalise. A fantastic piece of combination play from Bayern gives Sané a sight of goal, but he can't make the right connection to finish from close range.
Brilliant attacking play from TSG. Bebou and Kramarić combine to find Skov in space. He drills a shot with his left foot but Neuer makes an excellent save with his foot. Another chance for 3-1.
This guy is something else! A long ball is sent forward to Dabbur, who plays it into the path of Bebou. The substitutes dinks the ball over the defenders towards Kramaric in the box. The Croatian takes one touch and then calmly slots the ball in the far corner to give TSG a 3-1 lead.
Kramarić and Bebou run rings around what feels like the entire Bayern team before Bebou is felled in the box by Neuer. Kramarić steps up to take the spotkick and duly drills the ball into the roof of the net.
