Andrej Kramarić: ''It was luck in the end. We were the better team in the first half, we should have had a 2-0 or 3-0 lead. But towards the end of the game we probably would have been happy with 2-2. We weren't playing the TSG way, the way we know. I love Hoffenheim, that's why I'm saying this: we can and we need to play better.''
Christoph Baumgartner: ''It was a tough game for us. A real struggle right until the end. We started well and created a lot of good opportunities. Andrej is an unbelievable player and it's a real honour for me to be able to play alongside him. I can learn so much from him''
Oliver Baumann: ''The first half was more or less perfect, our game plan worked very well. We barely gave anything away. But the second half wasn't so good. We tried to sit on our lead too much. We didn't have enough of the ball and we were too passive.''
Sebastian Hoeness: ''We saw a game of two halves today. Our plan worked to perfection in the first 45 minutes. We had a lot of depth to our play, which meant we were able to penetrate the lines. I think we deserved our lead at half-time. Cologne then came out with renewed energy in the second-half and we lost the momentum. We failed to create much after putting them under so much pressure earlier in the match. The equaliser for 2-2 was a real blow, it was hard to take. It was brilliant to see how the team came back from that. It was a gutsy win.''
Markus Gisdol (1. FC Cologne head coach): ''It's a really hard defeat for me to accept. We played well today. We had a few problems in the first half. But what we were lacking in the first half, we more than made up for in the second. I felt that we might even be able to come from behind to win it. Unfortunately we were too passive after scoring the equaliser. We had our opponents there where we wanted them. A draw would have been a fair result. I can't find much fault in our performance - especially in the second half.''
