Skov strike voted Goal of the Season
Robert Skov's free-kick in the 3-0 victory over SC Paderborn on 1 November 2019 has been voted by TSG Hoffenheim supporters as the "Goal of the Season". The 24-year-old Dane converted the set-piece from around 30 metres out in the second minute of the match.
The spectacular strike from Skov, which came on Matchday 10 of the last Bundesliga season, narrowly beat Andrej Kramarić's outstanding opener against Borussia Dortmund on Matchday 34 in the final of the week-long poll. The Denmark international's perfect free-kick got the better of Kramarić's "no-look" penalty, which put the Kraichgau club 4-0 up against BVB on the final day of the season, in the semi-final. As for the quarter-final, Skov's strike got more votes than Sebastian Rudy's volleyed opener against VfL Wolfsburg on Matchday 5 (final score: 1-1).
