Information on TSG season tickets for 2020/21

The end of the season was incredible, with our first team securing a sixth-place finish in the Bundesliga and thereby qualifying for Europe for the third time in the past four years. Unfortunately we weren't able to celebrate together in person, with the Coronavirus continuing to restrict everyday life for the foreseeable future.

In normal circumstances, season tickets for the 2020/21 season would already be on sale. However, the current situation means that the entire season ticket allocation process must be done in a completely different manner to before. ''We are presenting a solution which will allow our current season ticket holders to make flexible decisions and give them the option to secure their regular seat for the future,'' says Frank Briel, managing director at TSG Hoffenheim.

At present, it is uncertain how the situation will develop until the start of the coming Bundesliga season, scheduled for 18 September. TSG Hoffenheim are working in close collaboration with the German Football League (DFL) and the local health authorities to arrive at a solution which will allow the club to host spectators at Bundesliga home matches in the PreZero Arena in the near future. Nonetheless, social distancing measures in place mean that any crowd in attendance will not reach the stadium's full capacity of 30,150.

We will therefore not be offering our classic season tickets, valid for all 17 Bundesliga home matches, for the 2020/21 Bundesliga season. Should Bundesliga home matches be able to be played without restrictions, our season ticket holders (invoice recipients) from the 2019/20 season will have a right of first refusal on their regular seat from the past season for all these matches. The model is comparable to that which has been used in the past for DFB Cup home matches.  Season ticket holders have a right of first refusal for their seat reserved from the 2019/20 season, which can be redeemed online via the TSG Ticketshop. Options for Print@Home and mobile tickets will be provided in order to avoid additional costs for shipping.

If matches with partial exclusion of spectators occur (in compliance with hygiene regulations, such as the currently applicable social distancing rules and any other Coronavirus regulations that may come into effect), season ticket holders (invoice recipients) from the 2019/2020 Bundesliga season will also be granted a right of first refusal. We will publish the relevant policy when tickets for the games in question go on sale.

We are also already looking ahead to the 2021/22 season, which hopefully will be able to take place without any restrictions. No season ticket holder from the 2019/20 season will lose their regular seat for the 2021/22 season. Regular seats from the current subscription contract of the past season will be "secured" and "activated" again as soon as season tickets can go back on sale without restrictions. Positive developments in the Coronavirus pandemic situation could lead to this scenario being implemented earlier than anticipated, for example for the sale of season tickets for the second round of fixtures of the 2020/21 season. The cancellation of any season tickets contracts by 7 July 2020 (end of the cancellation period of the previous season) will of course be taken into account.

''It is very important for us in this current situation, in which many people are having to make difficult financial decisions, that our most loyal fans aren't forced to pay up front for season tickets,'' says Frank Briel, adding: ''That's why we're offering fans the possibility to buy tickets for individual matches and also secure their regular seat for the season after next.''

We will keep all 2019/20 season ticket holders as well as new interested parties up to date. Therefore, make sure to check your TSG customer account (https://tickets.tsg-hoffenheim.de) to make sure your registered email address is up to date.

Important final information: please note that season tickets cannot currently be transferred to another customer, nor can the discount level be changed or the seat moved. For the 2020/2021 season, seats booked from the previous season are valid (discount levels can of course be selected variably when booking per match). We are also not able to offer season tickets to new customers at the moment. We will only be able to address these points when we can sell "classic" season tickets again.
