Dabbur wins #Homecup again

Munas Dabbur has successfully defended his "interwetten #Homecup" title by winning the second edition of the tournament. Four players took part in total, with the TSG man beating "Lefti_i" (Team: MTW) in the final.

First up for Munas Dabbur was a meeting with "Nik-Lugi" (Team: Spielerpass) in the semi-final. The fact the eSports player represents VfB Stuttgart made for a console derby – with the better outcome for TSG.

Dabbur opened the scoring with the first shot of the game, Diadie Samassékou placing the ball in the corner in the 14th minute. TSG had further chances to extend their lead, but it wasn't until shortly before half time that Andrej Kramarić doubled the advantage (40). Samassékou added a third with a shot from distance in the 77th minute, before Dabbur scored with his own avatar in stoppage time to complete the 4-0 victory.

The final saw the Israeli take on "Lefti_i" (Team: MTW), who had gotten the better of Thanasis Charisis (Better Collective) in the other semi-final and was playing as RB Leipzig. In what was an even encounter, the deadlock was finally broken in the 53rd minute when Ihlas Bebou rounded off an excellent Hoffenheim move. Leipzig equalised almost 20 minutes later through Timo Werner (72), however, meaning it went to golden goal.

TSG youngster Maximilian Beier ultimately proved to be the man of the moment, popping up to score the decisive goal to ensure that TSG Hoffenheim and Munas Dabbur would emerge as winners. Dabbur had already won the first edition of the "interwetten #Homecup" at the end of March.
