“We don’t usually organise friendlies against teams like Standard Lüttich straight after the first week back in training, but we’ve had to speed things up a little after our late start to pre-season training,” said Julian Nagelsmann. “I think this friendly will be a good experience for us. It’s a good chance for our new arrivals to get to know our sporting philosophy and style of football early on and consequently, they will hopefully internalize these ideas earlier too.”
The first friendly match ahead of the 17/18 Bundesliga season is fast approaching. TSG will face Standard Lüttich on Saturday, 15th July at 15:00 CEST. Head coach Julian Nagelsmann is planning to give new players a chance on Saturday against the Belgian first division side.
