Amiri wins with Germany U21s on Kuntz debut

The Germany U21 national team recorded a 3-0 victory against Slovakia in their first game under new manager Stefan Kuntz. TSG man Nadiem Amiri was brought on for the second half in Kassel. Meanwhile, the Germany U19s with Robin Hack and Dennis Geiger lost 1-0 to Russia.

Kevin Akpoguma, currently on loan at Fortuna Düsseldorf, featured in the starting XI for Germany's U21 team, who took the lead just four minutes into the match through former Hoffenheim player Grischa Prömel. Niklas Stark doubled their advantage late in the first half, before Levin Öztunali provided the finishing touch in injury time of the second half. Amiri showed a solid performance in the second 45 minutes, missing a good opportunity on the hour mark.

Hack makes U19 starting XI

Germany's U19 side was less successful as the team of former TSG manager Frank Kramer lost 1-0 to Russia in Potsdam's Karl-Liebknecht Stadium. Hoffenheim's Robin Hack made the starting XI in left attacking midfield and was brought off after 62 minutes.

Ivan Oblyakov scored the only goal of the match in the 25th minute. TSG's Dennis Geiger was introduced to the game in the 83rd minute but unable to help turn the tide. U19 players Meris Skenderović and Theodoros Politakis were also in the squad but did not make an appearance.
