TSG stars on duty at U19 EUROs

EURO 2016 is catching the imagination currently, however, the stars of tomorrow are about to compete in the U19 edition of the tournament. The competition takes place in Baden-Württemberg and three Hoffenheim stars will be competing. Philipp Ochs and Benedikt Gimber, who is currently on loan at Sandhausen, are representing Germany, whereas Stefan Posch is in the Austria squad.

Ochs and Gimber are key components of the Germany U19 side. Gimber is the skipper and missed just one international over the course of the last year. Ochs has picked up seven caps for the side, scoring two goals in the process.

Stefan Posch, who joined TSG last summer, is a regular in the Austria U19 side. He has missed just two games in recent times, one through suspension and the other because Hoffenheim were in the final of the U19 Bundesliga. Posch is looking forward to the tournament, explaining that “everything is possible. We want to get out of the group and progress as far as we can. If we reach our potential, we’ll manage this.”

The tournament’s final takes place in the WIRSOL Rhein-Neckar-Arena on 24th July. Hopefully at least one of the TSG players will be involved!
