Pre-match facts: TSG vs. Gladbach

Hoffenheim host third-placed Borussia Mönchengladbach in the WIRSOL Rhein-Neckar-Arena on Saturday at 15:30 CEST. The Foals have lost just one game in 2015, but their record in Sinsheim isn't great, which will fill the TSG fans with confidence ahead of the game.

For statistic lovers, here are all the facts and figures ahead of the match between TSG and Borussia Mönchengladbach:

Did you know that…

…TSG are unbeaten at home against Gladbach?

Hoffenheim have hosted Borussia in eight competitive games and haven't lost any of them, winning six and drawing two. TSG's home record against Gladbach in terms of goals conceded is impressive too: We have let in just one goal in our last four matches against the Foals in Kraichgau.

…TSG lead the overall head-to-head record?

The two sides have met 13 times in the Bundesliga before and Gladbach have won just three of those encounters. Hoffenheim, on the other hand, have recorded six victories, while the points have been shared on four occasions.

…TSG are in good form?

The 3-1 loss to Schalke is Hoffenheim's only defeat in their last six Bundesliga fixtures. Markus Gisdol's side have otherwise won three times and drawn twice in that timeframe. TSG have also failed to keep a clean sheet in just one of their last four games (that loss to S04).

...the WIRSOL Rhein-Neckar-Arena is becoming a fortress?

The Kraichgau club have won each of their last three Bundesliga home games – TSG's longest run in almost a year. We have only put together a longer winning streak on home soil in our debut Bundesliga campaign of 2008/09 (6 games).

…Eugen Polanski comes up against his former club?

The 29-year-old wore Gladbach colours between 1994 and 2008, going through their youth system and then playing for the first team in the Bundesliga. The defensive midfielder made 44 top-flight appearances for Borussia, scoring one goal. You can't rule out Polanski finding the back of his net against his ex-club, given that he has been rather prolific of late: The Pole has scored three of TSG's last five Bundesliga goals.

…corners cause TSG few problems?

Hoffenheim haven't let in a single goal from a corner kick in the Bundesliga this season – a league best. Gladbach are the second-best team in this regard, conceding just once from a corner.
