Schalke 04 match reaction

So äußerten sich die Beteiligten nach dem 3:3 der TSG gegen Schalke.

Markus Gisdol:Once again, you've got to catch your breath. Soon, we'll be able to demand an entertainment fee. In games like this, you flick between 0 and 100mph. If I wasn't a fan of my team before the game, then I would be now. Schalke created their chances well in the first half, but we were a bit sloppy and not awake. Everyone was unhappy at the break. After the interval, we changed a lot. We deserved to win the game. We had two big chances to turn the game around. I am proud of my team.

Jens Keller:We lead the game twice, played well in the first half and created a number of strong chances. At the break, we talked about scoring more, but we only played defensively in the second half and weren't aggressive enough. I am hugely disappointed in my team. After the final few minutes, we've got to be happy with the point. In the changing room, after the final whistle, there were some words said.

David Abraham:Of course Sejad Salihovic is our free-kick specialist. I practiced them this week and had the chance to show that today. I am really happy that I managed to score. We were a completely different side in the second half compared to the first. It's a shame we didn't win the game in the end.

Kevin Volland:We were asleep for the first half. We were successful in our opponents half, but not very good in our own, and that just can't happen. Our manager spoke clearly during the break and banged on the table. It was important; his action sent a wave through the team. We could have won the game in the end – we had two really good chances. It's a shame we didn't take them. But, because we didn't play anywhere near the way we wanted to in the first half, the result is absolutely fine.
