German Cup: Round 2 sees TSG draw Cottbus
The recently crowned female, European champion Lena Goeßling drew the second round of the German Cup on Saturday evening. It took a while for Hoffenheim to come out of the hat, before the 27-year-old grasped the “right” one.
On either the 24th or 25th of September in the WIRSOL Rhein-Neckar Arena, Hoffenheim will face second-division side FC Energie Cottbus in the second round of the German Cup.
"We are delighted to have been drawn at home and our goal, of course, is to make the next round. We certainly won't make the mistake of underestimating Cottbus though,” said Alexander Rosen, head of professional football, on Saturday evening a few minutes after the draw.
