FC Augsburg match reaction

Marco Kurz: “We played too cautiously today and defended badly. As a result, Augsburg took advantage and scored their goals. We didn't do enough considering it was a relegation battle. We didn't take on the fight today. Compared to the last few games, we didn't have any unity out there today. It's disappointing.”

Andreas Beck: “We didn't do enough today and it's a mystery to me. We had to start better and fight. For certain passages of play we were equal but that wasn't enough. Augsburg had the virtues you need in these kinds of games and that's why they deservedly won today.”

Markus Weinzierl: “We put in a good performance today and played the better football and were more aggressive than our opponents. The team put into place what we asked them to and that's why we ended up winners.”

Daniel Baier: “We showed across the 90 minutes how much we wanted to win. We were more aggressive and the better team. It was an important win for us but we must build on this performance.”
