Gyau loaned out to FC St. Pauli
Joseph-Claude Gyau will move on loan to FC St. Pauli immediately. The second division side have signed the 19 year old American until the end of the season following a two day trial with the club. Earlier in the year, Gyau signed a professional contract with TSG. The forward scored three goals from eight pre-season training matches.
TSG-manager Markus Babbel: “It's the right step for Joseph at this point in time. He needs to get some match practice to further develop. With the amount of competition we have in the squad, that just isn't possible here at the moment.”
Gyau, who is a part of the USA's U23 side, moved to Hoffenheim in July 2010, joining the U19 squad. In the 2011/12 season, the attacking midfielder made the jump to TSG's U23 fourth division side.
