Dortmund match reaction

1899 Hoffenheim lost 3-1 to Borussia Dortmund and the match reaction was as follows:

Frank Kramer: I thought we defended well for 60 minutes. We were aggressive, passionate and put a lot of effort into the game. We came back after going 1-0 down which was very important. We showed that we can stand up and be counted as a team. The side developed a real desire to fight back today. That worked really well for 60 minutes, after which we saw the quality of Dortmund. Against a team like Dortmund, with all their talent, it's very difficult to get out of your own half after conceding a second goal.

Marvin Compper: The goals we are conceding are our biggest problem. If we don't solve this, it will be really difficult to get out from the bottom of the table. We have to clear our heads during the winter break and make the most of pre-season so as to iron out the carelessness. We can only achieve this through hard work and concentration.

Sejad Salihovic: We had obviously intended to go about things differently this season. We've had a very bad run so far and we've got to get that out of our heads if we are to do better in the second half of the season. The good thing is that we have a lot of games left to play which means it's in our own hands. We tried to hold our own against them today but once again conceded too many goals. That's been the issue of our season so far and we must solve it.

Andreas Müller: I thought we looked good defensively but didn't have enough moments in attack that were threatening to Dortmund. We must come together and make decisions that will have an impact. Only then can we start our comeback.

Jürgen Klopp: It was a tough game. We had a good amount of possession but not many decisive efforts on goal. 1-1 at half time was a fair reflection of the match. If we had carried on playing that way, TSG Hoffenheim would have been the winners. We did manage to step it up a level though, and it proved to be a hard-fought victory.
