Volland puts pen to paper with 1899 Hoffenheim

1899 Hoffenheim continue to be one of the more active teams in the January transfer window having already signed Roberto Firmino and David Alaba. Their latest signing, Kevin Volland, joins from 1860 München having signed a 4-year contract on Monday.

However, the 18-year old will not make the move to Kraichgau just yet as it has been decided that he will be loaned back to TSV 1860 München until 30.06.2012. 1899 Hoffenheim will have the option of bringing the player back during the winter period in 2011/2012, but the club believe allowing him to stay could aide his development. "Kevin is a player with a lot of potential and we believe he has the qualities to make the step up into the Bundesliga. The deal allows him to continue his development in the 2. Bundesliga and get more first team football under his belt", explained chief executive Ernst Tanner.
