Reaction against 1. FC Kaiserslautern

10-man 1899 Hoffenheim recorded their first home win since October 2010 with a tricky 3-2 win over Kiaserslautern. Here's what those involved had to say about the match:

Marco Pezzaiuoli: In the end we've been a little lucky to claim the home win that's been a long time coming. It took us a while to get into the game during the first half, but the goals fell at the perfect times for us. We started the second half excellently, but we made too many mistakes and gave ‘Lautern a way back into the match. Importantly for us, though, was that we got ourselves back in front and managed to hold on the three points.

Marco Kurz: We make things too easy for our opponents and let them create chances. If you score two goals away from home it should really be enough to at least take a point from the match. We'll never achieve that though, because - to put it politely - we just invite them to score again. At the end of the day we're still confident that, if we're patient, we can still be in the Bundesliga next season.

Ryan Babel: It was my first ever derby match here in Germany and turned out to be a very important match for the team as well as the fans. The most important thing was the victory that we definitely deserved today. At 2-1 we lost ourselves for a moment, but after the equaliser we were straight back into the game. It was a fantastic gesture that they played "You'll Never Walk Alone" as we entered the stadium today.

Christian Tiffert: We performed well and did fantastically to come from two goals down. However, it was clear for all to see that the Hoffenheim team possess a lot of potential and unfortunately today our good performance wasn't enough. As for the situation involving Braafheid and myself, in my opinion it could have been left as a yellow card just as easily.
