International round-up: Holland outclassed, Bosnia-Herzegovina crash out

For Hoffenheim's Edson Braafheid and Ryan Babel, the first visit to Hamburg in the space of a few days ended in disappointment as the ‘Oranje' were comfortably beaten 3-0 by Germany. For Bosnia-Herzegovina, last night's game also left a sour taste in the mouth as they were beaten 6-2 in the Euro 2012 play-off second leg by Portugal.

Portugal 6-2 Bosnia-Herzegovina

After drawing the first leg 0-0 in Zenica on Saturday, Bosnia-Herzegovina were thrashed 6-2 by Portugal in the return leg, and miss out on qualification for Euro ´2012. Vedad Ibisevic and Sejad Salihovic were in the matchday squad last night but did not feature in the game.

Germany 3-0 Holland

Holland were dominated from start to finish last night by a rampant Germany, eventually losing 3-0. Both Ryan Babel and Edson Braafheid played a part in the game.

Slovenia 2-3 USA

Jürgen Klinsmann's USA team bounced back from their 1-0 defeat to France on Saturday with a victory in Slovenia. Fabian Johnson and Daniel Williams featured for the Americans.

Nigeria 2-0 Zambia

Chinedu Obasi celebrated a 2-0 success with the Nigeria team against Zambia, courtesy of goals from the Uche brothers, Kalu and Ike.

Ghana 2-1 Gabon

Isaac Vorsah played for Ghana last night in their 2-1 win against Gabon. Derek Asamoah scored the winning goal in second-half stoppage time.

Zimbabwe 2-1 South Africa

Knowledge Musona shone in Zimbabwe's 2-1 win over neighbours South Africa yesterday evening, scoring both goals and putting in a superb performance.

Mazedonien U21 1-1 Dänemark U21

Jannik Vestergaard was in the Denmark U21 team which drew 1-1 in Macedonia last night's Euro 2013 qualifier. Denmark lie in second place in the group behind Serbia, but with a game in hand over the group leaders.

Belgium U21 2-1 England U21

19-year-old Koen Casteels played the entire 90 minutes in goal for Belgium's U21 Euro 2013 qualifier against group leaders England. Belgium now climb to second place in the group after the 2-1 victory.
