Ibisevic and Vukcevic return to full training

Manager Holger Stanislawski had good news to celebrate today. Hoffenheim's injury curse is slowly disappearing. On Wednesday afternoon, Vedad Ibisevic and Boris Vukcevic returned to full first team training with the first team after lengthy injury lay-offs.

Three-against-three, speed tests, strength training and, for some variation, a game of football tennis, awaited the two players as they returned to full training with the squad. “It was great fun, and it's a great feeling to train with the boys again,” said Vedo. Vukcevic, who, on account of his fractured fibula, was out for longer than the Bosnian, was glad to be back: “There's just nothing better than playing football. I'm taking it easy right now and just want to enjoy being able to train with the guys again.” Both men came through 120 minutes of training without any problems, although they were rested from team training in the afternoon. “We want to reintegrate then slowly”, said manager Stanislawski. Vedo and Boris were put through strength training, to prepare them for the bulk of training session later in the afternoon at the training ground at Zuzenhäusen.
